- How do I close my Savings Account?.
- If you want to close your CHIME Savings Account.
- Contact Member Services at [email protected] or call 1-844-244-6363. Keep in mind that once you close your account, we immediately transfer all of the funds in your account to your Spending Account.
You can cancel your chime account at any time. Simply log into your account and select “Billing & Subscriptions”. Click on the orange “Cancel Account” button, enter your email address to confirm, and agree to the terms of canceling.
How will I be refunded for my subscription?
If you cancel within 14 days of becoming a member, we’ll let you keep the free trial as our thanks for trying us out. If you’ve been using the service longer than 14 days, then unfortunately we are unable to offer a refund. This is because billing on chime is an automated process which begins immediately upon sign up so that we can provide accurate and timely service for you. So after 14 days all subscription fees have been paid and it is not financially possible for us to stop future charges.
Note: If you’ve bought a gift membership for somebody, please note that the same 14-day cancellation period applies in these cases too. However, we do offer a refund on standard gifts of chime if your recipient requests one within 7 days of receiving their first alert – just email [email protected] with your order number.
If you cancel before the end of the free trial, then your account will be cancelled immediately and no further charges applied to your card or iTunes account. If you’d like to request a refund after cancelling as stated above, then please allow 2 weeks from the date of cancellation for your payment to be processed.
How do I cancel my PayPal subscription?
Please log into your account on our site and navigate to “Billing & Subscription” in the left hand menu. Scroll down past the section labelled “PayPal Subscriptions” where you can manage your recurring payments. At the bottom of this page is a button that reads Cancel Account – clicking this will take you through to PayPal’s website, whereupon you can request a refund for any subscriptions still yet to expire from your PayPal account. Please note that if it has been more than 14 days since joining chime, we are not able to offer a refund at all as described above; however cancelling via PayPal should still take effect immediately.

Please click on the “Billing & Subscription” link at the bottom of the main menu screen inside chime (if using an iPad/iPhone). You will now see a button labelled “Cancel Subscription”. Pressing it will open up Apple’s website where you can cancel your iTunes Automatic Renewal. If you have any questions about cancelling your subscription, or would like to share your feedback, please drop us a line at [email protected] and we’ll do everything we can to get back in touch with you. We love hearing from our users! (Please note that refunds are not possible for gift memberships as listed above.)
We try to keep our plans as simple as possible and this has been a focus since day one of developing chime; we hope you enjoy using it too! If there is anything at all that isn’t clear, just drop us an email (there’s a link in the ‘Contact Us’ section below) and we’d be more than happy to help out with any queries.
The subscription can be cancelled at any time and the user will be able to do this in their account on our website. We may clarify this within our app itself soon (coming soon!).
Yes, when you activate the app it requests access to your location information. This is required for chime to function so that users can receive localised weather alerts. If a user does not wish to have their location known they will not be able to use the app and we cannot provide refunds if this is the case.
We are able to offer refunds, with PayPal or iTunes payments, up until 7 days from sign up as standard – one of our goals being keeping things simple! Unfortunately for gift memberships there’s no option for stopping future payments via iTunes or PayPal, so if someone you know has this subscription please advise them that they can request a refund at any time by emailing us at [email protected] .
Thank you for your interest in Chime! If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us directly at [email protected] and we will be happy to address it. Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds once the trial period has ended.
Thank you for your interest in Chime. Can I close my bank account online if it is in good standing and has no balance?
Neobanks such as Chime, Varo and N26 mention in their account agreements that accounts may be closed due to the suspicion of questionable business practices. This includes making an improper claim for benefits or stimulus funds.
Chime is an online-only financial company that partners with two banks to offer its checking and savings accounts. They are traditional in the sense they provide FDIC insurance, but this does not give them a street location like your local branch would.
