To follow Instagram’s Terms of Service, you must have a verified email address associated with your account. If you do not receive an email verification within 24 hours, please check your spam folder and complete the process.
If you think that using Instagram is in violation of these terms or if you don’t want to use it any longer, here’s how to delete your account:
Tap on the Settings icon > scroll down and tap on “Your Account” > tap on “Edit” in the top right corner > tap on “Delete my account” at the bottom > confirm by tapping “Yes”.
You’ll get a confirmation screen, after which your profile will be removed from Instagram. Note that deleting your profile means you’ll have to start the signup process from scratch if you decide to return one day.
But if you’ve got the time, it’s well worth it. To protect yourself against scammers or stalkers who might be using your photos, changing your username will also give you a new URL on Instagram: NomoInsta1234567 is not the same as Nomoradicollective45678. You can, of course, change your username in settings at any time (just go into “Edit Profile” and select “Username”).
If you’re afraid someone else might try to delete your account without your knowledge and take over yours without properly deleting it, here are some tips on how to set up an Instagram email alert.
If you want to delete your Instagram account, it’s just as easy on Android. Go to the app Settings (“Instagram” > “Settings”) and tap “Your Account.” Tap on “Deactivate Your Account,” then tap “OK” on the prompt that appears, and you’re done.
You can contact Instagram via Messenger or call them at: +1 (855) 484-4840 (7 AM – 11 PM PST). They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in English and Spanish. You’ll have to answer some identity verification questions, but once they do that for you, you’ll be able to get your issue sorted out pretty quickly.
From there, simply follow the instructions they have for you to delete your account and / or profile from Instagram. It probably won’t take more than a couple of minutes if everything goes smoothly.
How do I delete my Instagram account on Android?
If you already have an active Instagram account, as long as it’s not private, deleting it is incredibly easy: just tap the three stacked dots in the top-right corner of your profile page; then click “Delete My Account.” You will then be asked to enter your password again before confirming the deletion request. Confirmation takes about 24 hours (or longer) but you can cancel at any time before that period finishes without charge.
You can log into Instagram and delete your account via the Settings menu. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the list, tap “Delete Your Account,” and then enter your password or confirm it on the next screen. The app will ask you to type in a word from an image that’s shown, complete with a CAPTCHA-like box (allowing you to ensure nobody is logging into your account while you’re away). You’ll then receive a final warning before confirmation: once again, if you change your mind between this point and receiving a confirming email from Instagram’s support team after 24 hours, just send an email explaining that fact and request cancellation within 48 hours of requesting deletion.
Instagram has introduced a new feature, which allows you to promote your posts and/or reach the targeted audience that is looking for this kind of content. This makes it even more attractive to businesses who want to appear in such feeds. We will discuss how businesses can use this feature to promote their accounts and products. At TopBuzz we have developed a tool called Layer in order to help social media marketers do precisely that – align business goals with fans’ interests through visual social engagement. Let’s see what steps will need to be taken in order to implement promotion campaigns on Instagram using Layer data: 1. Creating an account at Layer.co is free, and so is using the basic version of the service. Moreover, we will recommend you to create an account across all social networks (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube) where your business has a page or profile with active followers.
2. Retrieve your Page Hashtag from Facebook or Google+ by going into “Hashtags” and selecting one that fits your product/service well to use it later on Instagram. You can also check out our guide on how to find hashtags for business Facebook posts
3. Create a campaign within Layer: upload images & videos, write new captions for each one of them – be sure they are short and descriptive since most people read only caption text when scrolling through.
