- System Settings menu, select Storage.
- Select Hard Drive or click Y and open Device Options.
- Select Format or F for the formatting choice then enter your Console Serial Number for confirmation (or just type in your Serial Number.)
- Click DONE when selecting format, wait while process is finished.
If you wish to erase everything, first turn the console on and go to System Settings > Storage. Then highlight your local system drive in the list of drives represented by a letter and press the Y button on your controller. You will see other options above it that read Format and Erase all content – select these options (make sure you want ALL data erased). Note: after this process is completed, make sure the console is turned off before turning it back on.
Press and hold the Xbox button to open the guide and navigate to Profile & system > Settings > System. Once you find your way there, select Console info. On this page, select Reset console on the right-hand side of Xbox One X under Hardware. You will see three options: Reset and remove everything. This option resets your console to factory settings without deleting any content from internal storage like game saves or downloadable content

To perform a hard restart, hold the power button on your Xbox console from within 10 seconds of turning it on to power down.
To turn on your Xbox console, press and hold the Xbox button while simultaneously pressing Eject. To reset the display settings, press Menu to access Settings then choose Display & sound.
If you are experiencing difficulties with your Xbox 360 console, disconnect it from the network by turning off the modem and router. Disconnect all other devices as well. Leave them unplugged for 30 seconds before you reconnect them one at a time. Reconnect every device right after it is disconnected to ensure that there will be no power surges or blackouts while performing this process. After everything has been successfully connected, turn on the Xbox 360 again and press reset button on the back of console until the disk pops out in order to install an update if necessary.
