iCloud remembers all of the online app purchases you’ve made, allowing you to quickly re-download any that you’ve lost. However, it’s possible that there’s a certain app that you’d want to delete for some or the other reason. This article explains how to delete purchased apps from App Store on iPhone in simple steps.
There are two methods available for hiding or removing programs from both iCloud and the Purchase History.
Stepwise Guide To Delete Purchased Apps From App Store On iPhone Using iTunes
To remove apps from iCloud and your iTunes purchase history, please follow these steps:
In order to shop with iTunes, launch the application.
Select Bought or Purchased from the right-hand menu.
To see all the available apps, go to the Apps menu and then click All. The app selections on the iPad and iPhone are different, but you’re free to use either device.
Move your mouse pointer to the program icon that you want to conceal. If there’s a little X in the top left corner of an app, it will no longer appear in your device’s purchase history or be available for iCloud download.
To remove the software from your iOS device, head to the App Store and select Updates > Purchased (for iOS 10), or tap on your profile icon in the Updates screen to enter your Account page, and then select Purchased from there (iOS 11).
To see a list of all the apps you’ve purchased on your smartphone, tap All, and then swipe right over the one you want to conceal.
Once an app is hidden, the iCloud icon disappears, and a red Hide button appears.
Delete Purchased Apps From App Store On iPhone Using iOS Devices, Mac, Or Windows
Select iCloud by going to Settings, then tapping your name at the top.
Select Storage Management.
In the iCloud storage menu, select Backups.
The Backups tab displays a complete list of all the gadgets synced with your iCloud account. Select the gadget from which you intend to remove the apps.
Click Show All Apps in the box labeled Choose Data to Back Up.
Locate the app you wish to remove from iCloud and toggle its switch off. You’ll get a prompt to confirm if you wish to disable iCloud backups for the app and remove any associated data. To complete the process, select Turn Off & Delete.
When you’re done, the App Store won’t appear unless you specifically open it. If you want to hide apps you’ve purchased, you can do so in the App Store app by going to the “My Purchases” section. You can do this in the “Apps” section of your account page, in iTunes in the cloud, or by selecting “Hide Purchases” from the drop-down menu.
Because apps aren’t actually downloaded to your phone, they can be removed from your device through the iTunes Store. The App Store’s purchase history is where you’ll find the option to remove these apps. An “X” will appear in the app’s upper left corner when you move the cursor over it. If you don’t want to keep the app, just hit the X. It really is that simple. Keep in mind, though, that this doesn’t actually remove the app from your device. If you don’t want other people to see what you’ve bought on your iPhone, you can opt to keep that information private.
The apps you’ve hidden from your Purchase history list aren’t actually deleted, so you can still access them.
To view your hidden purchases, launch the App Store, tap your profile picture, select your account, and then scroll down and tap the option.
After that, all of your hidden items will be displayed. You can reinstall the apps you need by repeatedly tapping the Cloud icon. Check out iPhone Apps and iPad Apps if you can’t find what you’re looking for here
You can start fresh with a new Apple ID and still have access to everything you already have. You’ll be asked to enter some introductory details about yourself (name, email, password) before proceeding. It is also required that you accept the Terms and Conditions.
Since the information about paid apps is not kept in the iCloud backup but rather on Apple’s servers, the company doesn’t provide any solution to this problem. However, the purchased app’s associated files can be removed from iCloud. Please take care to adhere to the following procedures:
In order to remove an app from iCloud, you must first access its settings.
You need to visit the backups tab. Click “Choose Data to Back Up” on the following screen.
Apps that you no longer want to keep in iCloud can now be removed.
The associated data in iCloud must also be deleted if you want them gone for good.
You’ll need to be signed in with your Apple ID and password for this to work.
