Step-by-Step Guide for Deleting Your Account Using Web Browser
Step 1
To delete your account from a web browser, go to help.uber.com/drivers and log in with your driver credentials.
You must log in from a web browser to complete the process. If you’re not sure if you are logged in or not, try clicking the “log out” link at the top of the help site. If this doesn’t work, log out of your current session and then try again by going to www.uber.com/drivers and clicking “Log In” (or “Log Out”).
Step 2
Once logged into your account, enter your username and password on the right side of the screen, then click Log In.
Step 3
Next, you will need to go to the Delete Page. You will be prompted to answer some questions about why you want to delete your account. They only require Ýes’ and ‘No’answers except for the last question, whereby you will be required to type in your answer, but it is not mandatory.
Step 4
After answering the questions, you will tap on the submit button and await an email from Uber acknowledging your request to delete your account. Uber will email you a link to close your account. When you click the link, you will be redirected to an Uber page asking you to confirm that you want to close your account. It’s an essential step; once it’s done, there is no way back.
You might have to re-enter your password to confirm the action. Once verified, Uber will ask if the driver owed any outstanding payments or debts before they can process the request for deletion of the account. If the driver owes any due payments or debts, then Uber will take care of it first before proceeding with deactivating and deleting your account.
If all of these checks pass successfully and no issues arise following;
- Verification of payment details
- Debt clearance request submitted by the driver (in case there were any)
Then they would send out an email confirmation message informing about the successful termination/deletion of the Uber Driver Account.
